Stadium shows? Really? If you have money burning a hole in your pocket buy some Tesla.

But Tesla won't give you a smile on your face, a sunburn on your shoulders, and a hangover the next day.

That noted it looks like their previous years: sheds and caverns. Big cities get the big places.

NOT getting into the actual issue of
"If you saw Jerry & the boys live
would you do this?"
Because that is what I wrestle with
every time.
But just sticking with venues
I absolutely loved Hersey Park 85
SPAC could be good when crowd is mellow
and NOT bent on Gate Crashing.
"Don't climb the light towers"
I recognise some of the other venues
although the names have changed
Deer Park- (see SPAC disclaimer)
Pretty sure I saw a show in Clarkston, MI
North of the Motor City
it was an O.K. scene.
Throwing Stones Set Two opener- Why? Bobby why?
And of course I can see the appeal of either Fenway or Wrigley
but the only way I am going back to East Rutherford, NJ
is in a body bag as a victim of pandemic.
Anybody else notice that the only West Coast venue is Boulder, Ca?
My guess is those Cali shows are still TBA.
Again NOT going by Music just venue
my favorite post Dead era show
was in Simpsonville, SC [Furthur]
Not that I have a large sample to choose from.

Have at it if that's your thing. I'll be partying hard with my band WEEN in Las Vegas instead. Way cheaper, way better and way more fun.

Jerry will be the last to come because he was improvising. If that ever happens I will not be thrilled.

To be honest, I am surprised all these years post Garcia that they can play stadiums . I mean this both as a positive in that it's kinda cool that this music continues in some form and can still attract a lot of people, and in the questioning, realist, sense that I would have expected their popularity to wane more than it has, lacking it's key , special ingredient .
Maybe I need to give the guys another shot . I did go back and am checking out some select things that Phil did in the last few years . Some of the shows he did with Bob have some amazing music . The parts of the Chicago shows from March 10/11 2018, where Larry Campbell, and Jeff Chimenti (real piano, yea !) join them, have some real music going on . I like them enough to pop for the Nugs downloads .

If you went you'd have a really good time and probably never listen to it again. They are very good and there is something to be said for chasing the muse in this day. But for me it still comes down to Phil and his danged counterpoint. :) Imho the Dead didn't swing but they when they were cooking they bounced. Oteill just doesn't have that - he's a great supporter and that's it. If you like real piano Chimenti really provides the sparks that Mayer plays off. Plus they play all the old songs that the GD let go.

Lots of grinning, lots of swaying, no jiggling.

Does this qualify for jiggling?
Weir & Wynonna

They do catch a nice groove 3 minutes in.
p.s. Same band almost went into a coma while Weir led Jack Straw.

Hey Now Vermoontains,

I dig Ramble on Rose but Not sure it works with Wynona
and not sure Weir even does it justice?

Here is Jack Straw:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_qpL8AQBTw
Which the vocals are good especially with Wynona swapping verses
and backing-up Weir.
BUT >>>> to me there is very little flow from the musicians.
Maybe it is the mix,, very muddy
anyway I am still looking for Jack Straw> Cryptical Envelopment
so I might just as well forgot about it .

Say Hey
Ramble reminds that Garcia's voice is unique and others don't seem to get the song is supposed to be funny and that you laugh while you sing it.
Jack Straw had the Noise sounding Big and Bobs doing a rare fun windmill.
I liked the music on Jack Straw and one of the comments mentioned it was not as slow as Deadco

I am not sure how Dead & Company have settled into that tempo.
Me thinks it would have to be a Billy thing.
Kreutzmann is the most accomplished player of that bunch.

Ramble On Rose always wondered if that wasn't a nod to Nat King Cole.

What a voice and was backed by an impressive jazz unit.

The recording you put up of Bob Weir
with just his guitar isolated
from the rest of the band was a trip
and what he does is unique.

You know the answer. Funny thing is I know this shit. I own two Judd cds. Even on the record this song grooved. Less cheese though.

Diamondhead-
When the guitar player from Judd's band put his foot up on the amp,
and gave a sort of Townsend windmill
I wonder if Yosemite Bob flashed back to the days
when he was Bobby Ace ROCK STAR.

All those sheds the Dead played in the 80s and 90s with some storied baseball parks thrown in.
